Fatal Crash in Greater Poland: BMW Plunges into River, 23-Year-Old Killed

A 23-year-old passenger died at the scene early Thursday morning in the Greater Poland region after the BMW they were traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a river.

The Incident

At approximately 1:30 a.m. between Wednesday and Thursday, June 3-4, a BMW driver veered onto the shoulder for reasons yet to be determined, causing the vehicle to fall into a river.

Drug Involvement

The Pilas County Police Department reported that the driver managed to escape the vehicle on their own. While the driver was sober, preliminary tests confirmed the presence of narcotics in their system.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Emergency services worked at the scene for several hours, with six fire department units dispatched to the incident. Police are now investigating the specific circumstances surrounding the crash.

Official Appeal

Officers emphasized that the tragedy occurred despite numerous appeals for responsible and safe driving. The police stated on social media that one only has one life to live and urged drivers to remember this before getting behind the wheel.
