Dog Frozen to Roadside Rescued by Police in Mazowsze

Police in Mazowsze rescued a dog frozen to a roadside, providing emergency care before reuniting it with its owner.

Emergency Response

On Wednesday, January 21, officers from the Przasnysz County Police responded to a report of a dog in distress in a roadside ditch in the village of Przysowy, Mazowieckie voivodeship.

Upon arrival, police found the animal frozen to the roadside, weakened and suffering from hypothermia. They carefully removed the ice, freed the dog, and covered it with thermal blankets and their own clothing before transporting it to safety.

Reunited with Owner

The rescued dog was taken to a veterinarian for necessary medical care. It was later discovered that the animal had escaped from its owner the previous day, who had been actively searching for it.

Thanks to the quick response by police and the initial report, the dog was safely reunited with its owner after receiving proper veterinary treatment.

Winter Animal Safety Warning

Police are reminding the public that frost and winter conditions pose significant dangers to animals. Leaving pets in unprotected environments can be considered an offense, and keeping animals in conditions that threaten their health or life constitutes animal cruelty.

“One phone call can save a life,” police emphasize, urging citizens to report cases of animals in need of immediate assistance during cold weather.
