Man Parks Car Full of Drugs Beside Police Vehicle

A 35-year-old man unknowingly parked his car loaded with marijuana beside an unmarked police car during an anti-drug operation in Janki.

Incident at Shopping Center Parking Lot

During police operations targeting drug trafficking at a shopping center in Janki, a 35-year-old man driving a Toyota Prius entered the parking lot. Unaware of the police presence, he parked directly next to an unmarked police vehicle.

Police Action and Seizure

Officers from the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Department’s Anti-Drug Crime Unit, collaborating with the Nadwiślański Border Guard Department’s Operational-Investigative Unit, immediately apprehended the man. They discovered 5 large packages of marijuana in the trunk, weighing 5 kilograms, along with 50,000 Polish złoty.

Investigation and Location Context

The operation was meticulously planned based on intelligence about a drug transporter in the area. Police secured all access roads to the parking lots. The suspect, a resident of Praga Północ, was arrested. The seized marijuana was destined for the Praga Północ area.

Legal Proceedings

The man was charged with possession of a significant quantity of narcotic substances and preparation for their distribution. A court decision remanded him in custody for three months. The case is being handled by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Pruszków.
