Two Animal Collisions Disrupt Warsaw Traffic

On the evening of Friday, January 23, 2026, two road incidents involving forest animals occurred in Warsaw and its surroundings, resulting in traffic disruptions. In one case, the exit from the capital was blocked for several hours, and in the other, two inbound lanes to the city were closed.

Moose Collision on Żołnierska Street

The first incident occurred on Żołnierska Street between Czwartaków and Ząbki, in the outbound lane from Warsaw. A driver of an Alfa Romeo collided with a moose, which did not survive the impact. Due to lack of police confirmation and officers on site, the moose carcass remained on the roadway for several hours, blocking traffic.

Wild Boars Struck on Wisłostrada

A similar incident was reported on Wisłostrada near Bielany and the sand pit area, heading toward the city center. Two wild boars were struck by vehicles in this location. As a result, two inbound lanes to the city were blocked until 10:00 PM.
