Massive Police Operation at Modlińska 6D, Counter‑Terror Units Enlisted

In a sprawling late‑afternoon raid on Białołęka’s Modlińska 6D, dozens of police officers, including counter‑terror specialists, secured the site without any shots fired, according to the Warsaw IV Regional Police Command.

Operation Overview

The late Saturday operation on Modlińska 6D in Białołęka involved several dozen police units, led by the Warsaw IV Regional Police Command. Special counter‑terrorist teams participated in the sweep of the high‑rise complex.

Witness Accounts

Eyewitnesses reported loud booms consistent with the use of sound grenades by the counter‑terror unit. Authorities confirmed that no firearms were discharged during the operation, and the perimeter was cordoned off to prevent civilian access.

Ongoing Investigation

Police remained on site for many hours, and the operation continues today. A vehicle removed from the area is under further investigation, and several suspects have been detained, potentially including individuals of Chechen origin, though this has not yet been confirmed.

Distinction from Trade Conflict

The actions taken at the Modlińska premises are unrelated to the existing trade dispute and concern a separate matter.

Longstanding Tensions in the Area

For months, the Modlińska 6D vicinity has been a hotspot for trade-related conflicts. After a fire at Marywil 44, merchants shifted their operations there, sparking ongoing disputes between traders, Chechens, and the hall’s lessee.
