Karol Nawrocki spoke with hospitalized PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński, wishing him a quick recovery.
Personal Phone Call
According to Wirtualna Polska, President Karol Nawrocki spoke with Jarosław Kaczyński by phone, wishing him a quick recovery and asking about his well-being. A meeting is planned when Kaczyński recovers. Nawrocki informed PiS MPs about the conversation during a Thursday meeting.
“The president said a few courteous words, that during this time we don’t have a very important person, the leader of the right, but that he had spoken with him earlier and wished him health,” stated one politician. “Karol is grateful to the president for his nomination and will never forget that thanks to him he is the president. That’s why he naturally cares about the president’s health condition,” admitted a person from Nawrocki’s circle.
Pneumonia Concerns
“It could even be pneumonia,” reports suggest. Jarosław Kaczyński was hospitalized due to an infection and will remain hospitalized for several days, according to PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek on Wednesday. According to “SuperExpress,” Kaczyński might be struggling with pneumonia.
“There are also reports that this could be pneumonia. Then the matter would be more serious. Since he ended up in the hospital, I understand that it looks like a serious matter,” stated PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk on Polish Radio 24.
Previous Hospitalization
Jarosław Kaczyński was also hospitalized in February of last year. At that time, the PiS spokesman stated it was about “routine, previously planned examinations.” According to media reports, the politician was admitted to the cardiology department of the Provincial Specialist Hospital named after Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński on al. Kraśnicka in Lublin.
“He was admitted not as Jarosław Kaczyński, but as Patient NN. Like a person who came to the hospital from the street, not having an ID card. This is a very strange, atypical situation. ‘So that no one would be interested,’ my superior told me,” then recounted a worker of the facility in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza.”
