Collision of Three Cars in Wola. One Driver Arrested

A multi‑vehicle collision on Jana Pawła II Avenue in Wola caused significant traffic disruptions, injuring one person but leaving all drivers sober.

Yesterday evening on Jan. 2nd St. (Jana Pawła II Avenue) near Grzybowska Street in Wola, three cars collided, creating severe congestion.

Immediate Response

First responders arrived, one victim was examined by medical teams and did not need hospitalization.

Investigations and Arrest

Police identified a 23‑year‑old Honda driver as the main perpetrator. He was arrested, faced a possible prison sentence with a parole option, and later paid a fine at the command. Authorities suspect his driving license may have been revoked. All parties were found sober.

Traffic Impact

The Wola Traffic Department and the Warsaw IV Regional Police Command managed the incident. During the operation, two lanes toward Mokotów were blocked.
