Ziobro’s Wife: ‘I Still Live in Belgium, Sometimes in Hungary’

Patrycja Kotecka-Ziobro confirms she still resides and works in Belgium, though occasionally visits Hungary as part of her employment rights.

Continued Work in Belgium

Patrycja Kotecka-Ziobro stated in an interview with “Fakt” that she “continues to live and work in Belgium.” She noted that this could be verified with colleagues at the European Parliament with whom she regularly meets at work. Kotecka-Ziobro added that “using her employee rights, she sometimes stays in Hungary.”

Parliamentary Assistant Role

In 2024, following the European Parliament elections, Kotecka-Ziobro became an accredited assistant to MEPs from Prawo i Sprawiedliwość party – Patryka Jakiego and Jacka Ozdoby. The article explains that accredited parliamentary assistants (AAP) are persons selected by an MEP or a group of MEPs and employed directly by the European Parliament. Court Rejects Ziobro’s Defense Requests

On Thursday, February 5, the court rejected requests from Ziobro’s defense. They had requested that a different court than the Warsaw District Court handle the decision on his arrest, which is the court currently handling the hearing. Warsaw court is examining the prosecutor’s request for the MEP’s arrest for the third time. The first postponement occurred because the prosecutor did not include classified materials in the request. The second came after a request to exclude the presiding judge.

Ziobry in Hungary with Political Asylum

The former Minister of Justice is in Hungary, where he received political asylum. The Polish prosecutor accuses the politician of committing 26 crimes, including leading an organized criminal group and improper expenditure of funds from the Justice Fund.
