A 30-year-old driver in Grodzisk Mazowiecki faces charges for drunk driving, driving without a license, and six traffic violations after a police chase.
Police Chase After Failed Stop
During a night patrol in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, police noticed a Ford with faulty license plate lighting. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle with lights and sirens, the driver accelerated, ran a red light, failed to signal maneuvers, drove over a traffic island, and created other road hazards. After crashing into a roadside tree, the driver attempted to escape on foot before being apprehended.
Driver Found to be Drunk and Unlicensed
Tests revealed the 30-year-old driver had 1.5‰ alcohol in his system and had never held a driver’s license. He was taken into custody at the Grodzisk police station.
Charges Filed
Police confirmed the driver committed crimes of driving under the influence and failing to stop for inspection. Analysis of his actions during the chase revealed six additional traffic violations. After sobering up, the driver was charged and voluntarily accepted punishment in court.
