According to regulations, the 13th pension equals the minimum pension applicable from March 1. After a 5.3% indexation of benefits, the gross amount of the 13th pension in 2026 will be 1,978.49 zł. The net amount will be lower as the “thirteenth” is subject to social security and tax deductions, like all other benefits.
Why Net Amounts Differ Among Recipients
Gross amounts are the same for all eligible recipients, but net amounts vary. The 13th pension is paid together with the April pension or benefit and is not a separate transfer but added to one monthly income. This means persons with lower benefits receive a higher net amount from the thirteenth pension, while those with higher pensions see less on their accounts despite identical gross amounts. In short: the more money in one month, the greater the deductions.

The thirteenth pension will be paid with the April benefit according to the standard ZUS schedule. If the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, the money will reach seniors earlier. Eligibility for 13th Pension in 2026
Right to the thirteenth pension is held by persons who, as of March 31, 2026, are entitled to one of the eligible benefits. It will not be received by persons who are not eligible for these benefits.
