Starting Monday, August 25, Warsaw’s northern districts face new roadwork challenges, including narrowed lanes on Modlińska Street, the renovation of Ostródzka Street, and the installation of new pavement on Żubrowa Street.
Roadworks on Modlińska Street
A new section of Modlińska Street, between Ćwiklińska and Mehoffer avenues, will be restricted to two lanes, with a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h enforced from Monday, August 25. This phase is expected to last approximately three weeks. In September, the entire width of the avenue will be resurfaced.
Ostródzka Street Renovation
Renovation of Ostródzka Street between Astrowa and Maćka z Bogdańca begins Monday, August 25, at 7:00 AM. The project is split into two phases, during which general traffic will be allowed only toward the Toruńska Trunk. Alternative routes for opposing traffic include Głębocka, Jesiennych Liści, Skarbka z Gór, and Astrowa streets. Buses 134, 226, and N11 (toward Os. Derby) will also use this detour. Access to Kobiałka will alternatively use Łabiszyńska, Kopijników, Białołęcka, and Juranda ze Spychowa streets.
New Pavement on Żubrowa Street
New pavement will be laid on Żubrowa Street, spanning from Wóycickiego to Dankowicka avenues, including the intersection with the latter. Scheduled from Monday, August 25, at 5:00 AM to Thursday, August 28, at 4:00 AM, detour routes will use Wóycickiego, Pułkowa, and Dzierżoniowska streets. During this period, bus line 114 will operate only to the Młociny metro station, while N41 will terminate at the roundabout where Marymoncka, Pułkowa, and Wittek Avenue converge. Lines 181 and 303 heading toward the Northern Cemetery loop will use Pułkowa and Wóycickiego streets instead.
