A heavy truck collided with a toll booth at the Tarnawa Toll Collection Point before 11 p.m. on Saturday (August 23). The vehicle immediately caught fire, and the driver died at the scene. Surveillance cameras recorded the moment of impact and the subsequent blaze, with a nearly 10-second clip published by Remiza.pl on its X account.
Police Identify Driver as Sole Casualty
According to the Lubuskie Police spokesperson, Captain Maciej Kimet, authorities are determining the driver’s identity. He stated that no other individuals were injured in the incident. After firefighters extinguished the fire, police conducted inspections under the supervision of prosecutors. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time, as reported by the Polish Press Agency.
