Two cars collide in Warsaw’s city center after taxi runs red light, causing BMW to hit tram pole.

Evening, around 8 PM, at the intersection of Stawki and Anders streets in Śródmieście, a collision occurred involving two passenger cars. According to preliminary findings, the driver of a Toyota taxi entered the intersection on a red light and collided with a BMW, which then hit a roadside tram pole.
The incident occurred at a busy transport hub in the Muranów area. Information indicates that the direct cause of the collision was failure to yield the right of way by entering the intersection on a red signal. The force of the collision caused the BMW to be displaced and hit a tram infrastructure element – a traction pole located next to the roadway.
Emergency Response
No one was injured in the collision. Services were called to the scene: fire department, medical rescue team, and police. Actions taken by the services included securing the scene and performing necessary procedures to allow for a detailed determination of the collision course.
