A 46-year-old man died on Poland’s A2 highway after collapsing while attempting to change a tire.
Incident Details
The incident occurred on Friday (February 20) near Czatolin in Łódzkie Voivodeship on the A2 highway towards Warsaw. The driver had pulled over to the emergency lane of his Peugeot car.
Sudden Collapse
The man got out of his car to change a tire but suddenly lost consciousness near the vehicle. Other drivers who witnessed the incident immediately stopped to help.
Emergency Response
The bystanders called for emergency assistance and began resuscitating the unconscious man. A helicopter from the Air Ambulance service also arrived at the scene. Despite these efforts, the man could not be saved.

“The man got out of his car and tried to change a tire. At some point, he lost consciousness near the vehicle,” reported Jr. Brig. Tomasz Ledzion from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Łowicz, as quoted by “Fakt” newspaper.
