Drunk Firefighter Driving Fire Truck Arrested, Currently Sobering Up

A 31-year-old firefighter was arrested after being found drunk while driving a fire truck to an accident scene in Tchórznica Włościańska, Poland, on Sunday morning.

Incident Details

The incident occurred on Sunday morning (February 23) in Tchórznica Włościańska (Mazowieckie province). Before 7:00, a passenger car drove into a ditch and hit a tree. The volunteer fire brigade was called to the scene.

According to RMFFM, it turned out that the 31-year-old firefighter driving the truck was drunk. He had 1.6 per mille in his exhaled air.

Arrest and Investigation Status

The 31-year-old firefighter was arrested and is currently sobering up in police facilities. Only after sobering up will further actions be taken with him.

Junior aspirant Piotr Pokorski from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom confirmed, “The man is currently in a detention room. No actions have been taken with him yet. The arrested person must first sober up,” as reported by Aneta Szurowska.
