Trump Hints at Imminent Release of Pentagon’s UFO Documents

During a rally in Phoenix, Donald Trump announced the upcoming release of “very interesting” Pentagon documents related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

Trump Announces Pending UFO Document Release

Donald Trump addressed the topic of UFOs at a TurningPoint USA rally in Phoenix, stating the audience was a fitting group to learn about the investigation, given Arizona residents’ “real” interest. He announced that a process was underway and “many very interesting documents” had been found.

Trump encouraged the public to investigate the phenomenon themselves, adding it was “something that really fascinates the mind,” though he also admitted to not being particularly interested in the subject himself. The Pentagon declined to comment on the release schedule or content of the documents.

Congressional Hearings and AARO Investigation

President Trump issued a directive to the Pentagon on February 20th to declassify UFO-related documents. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), established in 2021 to investigate UAP, has previously reported finding no evidence of extraterrestrial technology.

Grusch’s Testimony and Allegations of Cover-Up

David Grusch, a former AARO team member, testified before Congress in 2023, alleging that the U.S. government has concealed knowledge of and contact with extraterrestrials for decades, and has recovered numerous crashed alien spacecraft. He claimed to have 40 witnesses corroborating the existence of these craft, though he admitted to not having seen them himself.

Grusch also stated he had not seen the body of any extraterrestrial being.

Obama’s Comments Prompt Trump’s Response

Trump’s announcement followed remarks by former President Barack Obama, who stated, “aliens are real,” but clarified he had not seen them and they were not being held at Area 51. He suggested a possible conspiracy to hide information from the president.

Obama later explained he was speaking to the statistical probability of life existing elsewhere in the universe, but acknowledged the vast distances between solar systems make visitation unlikely and he saw no evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his presidency.

Trump Criticizes Obama’s Disclosure

Trump criticized Obama for revealing classified information, calling it a “big mistake.” He questioned whether anyone had seen evidence of non-human visitors to Earth, while stating he did not know if aliens were “real or not” and had “no opinion on it.” Lara Trump, his daughter-in-law, indicated her father-in-law had a prepared speech on extraterrestrial life to deliver “in due time.”
