City Guard Report

Begged for Water Outside the Shop

Warsaw City Guard described a shocking incident on August 15 in a statement. At the time, officers from the VI district patrol noticed a 35-year-old woman lying outside a shop on Inżynierska Street. “That day was very hot, and from afar, she looked exhausted, shivering, and moving slowly. The officer who intervened asked her if everything was okay. The woman struggled to respond, saying she had no strength to stand and was begging the shop’s customers for water, as she hadn’t drunk anything in 12 hours. She complained that no one wanted to help her,” the statement reads.

City Guard Appeals for Action

The woman revealed she was homeless, suffers from epilepsy, and recently discovered she is pregnant. The guards informed emergency services and provided her with water. Before the ambulance arrived, the officers conducted a specialized interview, sharing its findings with the medical rescue team. “We urge people not to ignore homeless individuals in crisis. To help, simply immediately notify the authorities, including the city guard. The emergency number is 986. Don’t ignore them. React!” – emphasized the city guard.
