Major heating and hot water breakdown affects half of Wrocław, as Finnish-owned utility Fortum reports outage before 4 PM on February 27.

The owner of the heating network in Wrocław is the Finnish state energy company Fortum. The company published a statement about the breakdown on Friday, February 27 before 4 PM.

Many residents of Wrocław are without hot water and heating due to the incident.

Due to the breakdown, residents of certain streets lost access to heating and hot water.

Previous Water Main Issues

On February 19, a breakdown of the water main occurred in Wrocław. Water pressure decreased throughout the city’s water network. Water flooded the intersection of Oławska, Podwale and Traugutta streets. The same day, regular water pressure was restored.
