Grodzisk police arrested a 35-year-old woman accused of stealing a bank card and withdrawing funds after weeks of investigation.
Investigation Leads to Arrest
Enhanced operational activities by Grodzisk detectives, ongoing for several weeks, led to the identification and apprehension of a woman suspected of stealing a bank card and accessing a bank account, from which she withdrew money.
Following a report from the victim about unauthorized withdrawals using a lost card, Grodzisk detectives began investigating the perpetrator. Detailed analysis of gathered information and documents allowed officers to identify a suspect. They traveled to a previously determined address in a neighboring county to apprehend the woman.
Evidence Recovered
During a thorough search of the 35-year-old’s apartment, officers found the jacket, shoes, and hat she had worn during the ATM withdrawals. Police also learned the card was discarded after use. The detained woman admitted to committing the crimes.
Legal Charges
At the Grodzisk Mazowiecki police station, she faced charges of card theft and two counts of bank account theft by unauthorized access, along with withdrawing funds from the account.
Potential Sentence
For these offenses, she now faces a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years.
