Tragic Accident in Trzcianka: 7-Year-Old Girl Killed. “She Was Playing with Other Children Moments Before”

A 7-year-old girl was killed in a tragic accident in Trzcianka, near Pila, after being struck by a vehicle while playing with other children moments earlier. The driver, who was found sober, was a resident of the Pila district.

Accident Location and Details

A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday around 12:30 PM on Sikorskiego Street in Trzcianka (Wielkopolska Voivodeship), near Pila. According to police information, the incident took place outside a public road, on an access road leading from Sikorskiego Street to the courtyard of a local tenement building. Investigations revealed that the 47-year-old driver struck the 7-year-old girl while she was playing in the area.

Seven-Year-Old Girl Killed in Trzcianka Accident

“The 7-year-old girl who was hit in Trzcianka died in the accident. She was playing with other children moments before,” stated Senior Inspector Karolina Górzna-Kustra from the Czarnków police department in an interview with the portal pila.naszemiasto.pl. Post-accident tests confirmed the driver was sober.

Traffic Disruptions Due to the Accident

Current activities at the accident site are being supervised by the prosecutor. “A temporary one-way traffic system has been implemented, but passage remains possible because the accident occurred outside a public road,” added Senior Inspector Karolina Górzna-Kustra.
