Warsaw Suburb: Fire Engulfs Two-Story Apartment, 17 Evacuated

A fire broke out in a two-story apartment on Brzozowa Street in Szeligi, near Warsaw, at approximately 6:40 PM yesterday, prompting the evacuation of 17 residents.

Fire Breaks Out in Unoccupied Apartment

Yesterday evening, around 6:40 PM, a fire erupted in a two-story apartment located on the 4th floor of a multi-family building on Brzozowa Street in Szeligi, Warsaw West County.

Firefighters confirmed no injuries occurred, and 17 residents were evacuated from the building.

Rapid Fire Spread to Attic

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and visible flames on the building’s exterior. The fire encompassed a large, approximately 400-square-meter apartment that was not yet occupied.

The fire quickly spread to the attic of the building.

Firefighters Contain Blaze with Aerial Ladders

Firefighters initiated firefighting operations using two aerial ladders, successfully containing the blaze and preventing further spread throughout the building.

The fire in the multi-family building concluded without any casualties.

Extensive Response and Investigation

Fifteen fire crews, including units from Warsaw, responded to the incident. The situation was brought under control after the most critical phase of the operation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
