Man Dies After Fall During Police Intervention in Warsaw Apartment

Warsaw police responded to reports of a foul odor emanating from an apartment on Powązkowska Street, leading to a fatal incident.

Police Respond to Odor Complaint

Radio RMF FM reports that Warsaw police intervened at an apartment building on Powązkowska Street following complaints from neighbors regarding an unbearable smell.

Attempted Escape and Fall

The resident did not respond to knocking, prompting the fire department to arrive with a lift. As police attempted to enter via the balcony, the resident lowered a rope from a window on the opposite side of the building and attempted to descend.

He fell from the third floor.

Resuscitation Efforts and Investigation

Police performed resuscitation, but were unable to save his life. Forensic technicians are currently at the scene. The reason for the attempted escape and the source of the odor remain unknown.
