On Tuesday, March 24th, around 6:10 PM, emergency services responded to a report of a child being hit by a vehicle on Kaliska Street in Warsaw’s Ochota district.
Paramedics found an approximately 10-year-old boy who had sustained a leg injury in the collision and transported him to a hospital.
Details of the Collision
The incident occurred at number 24 Kaliska Street. Initial reports indicated a child on a scooter had been struck.
The boy, riding a mechanical scooter, reportedly emerged from between two parked cars, entered the roadway against traffic, and collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota.
Parental Intoxication
Police were dispatched to the scene and determined the minor was under the care of two intoxicated parents.
Officers are investigating the parents’ blood alcohol content and determining the appropriate course of action.
