Man Arrested in Warsaw for Hiding Large Drug Stash

Warsaw police detained a 55-year-old man wanted for evading justice, discovering over 44 kilograms of drugs across multiple locations.

Suspect Apprehended, Drugs Found in Warsaw Apartment

Officers from the Warsaw Police Department’s Anti-Drug Unit and the Wola district criminal division arrested a 55-year-old man who was hiding from authorities.

During a search of the man’s apartment, police found 5 packages of marijuana, as well as amphetamine and mephedrone. The suspect had been attempting to avoid an 18-month sentence.

Extensive Drug Cache Discovered at Multiple Locations

Further searches revealed additional narcotics at the suspect’s family home near Płońsk and another apartment in the Ursynów district of Warsaw.

Authorities seized nearly 44 kilograms of various substances, including approximately 140 vaporizers containing THC, and almost 40 liters of chemicals potentially used for drug production.

Substances Seized and Suspect Detained

Police secured over half a kilogram of drugs at the Warsaw apartment, including marijuana, mephedrone, and amphetamine. At the home near Płońsk, they found 41 kilograms of a white substance believed to be mephedrone in an early stage of production.

In Ursynów, over 1.5 kg of marijuana and nearly 1.5 kg of mephedrone were recovered.

Legal Consequences and Ongoing Investigation

The man has been charged with possession of significant quantities of psychotropic substances and has been temporarily arrested by court order.

He faces up to 10 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
