Israel launched attacks on Iranian infrastructure Tuesday, targeting railways and bridges, with Prime Minister Netanyahu stating the goal is to dismantle the regime.
Netanyahu Confirms Strikes on Iranian Infrastructure
Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that the Israeli military conducted strikes on railway lines and bridges within Iran. He specified that the targets were facilities used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
“Yesterday, our pilots destroyed transport planes and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian military base. Today, we attacked railway lines and bridges used by the IRGC,” Netanyahu stated in a video recording.
“Dismantling the Terrorist Regime”
“We are dismantling the terrorist regime in Iran. We are doing so with increasing energy and force,” the Israeli Prime Minister added.
Trump’s Threat to Iran
Earlier Tuesday, former U.S. President Donald Trump warned on his Truth Social platform, referencing his threat of attacks on Iranian infrastructure, that “the entire civilization is going to be destroyed tonight and never be rebuilt.”
Trump threatened to bomb all power plants and bridges in Iran if authorities did not meet an ultimatum by 8 p.m. Eastern Time Tuesday (2 a.m. Wednesday in Poland) and reach an agreement guaranteeing the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. This waterway carries one-fifth of global oil supplies during peacetime.
