Złoty Gains as Dollar and Euro Fall

The Polish złoty strengthened against both the dollar and the euro Wednesday morning following a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Złoty Strengthens Against Dollar and Euro

The złoty gained value against the dollar and the euro Wednesday morning. At approximately 7:00 AM, the dollar cost slightly over 3.64 zł, and the euro cost slightly over 4.25 zł.

This is a result of U.S. President Donald Trump announcing his agreement to a two-week ceasefire in the war with Iran.

Dollar and Euro Decline

The dollar depreciated by over 1 percent Wednesday morning, costing slightly over 3.64 zł, while the euro fell by almost 0.4 percent, costing slightly over 4.25 zł.

Trump Announces Ceasefire Agreement

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he agreed to a Pakistani proposal for a two-week ceasefire, contingent on Iran’s agreement to immediately open the Strait of Hormuz. He also assessed that peace negotiations with Iran had made significant progress.
