The United Arab Emirates’ crisis management agency, via X, also reported a missile threat and the activation of its air defense system.
Kuwait’s Response and Concerns
Kuwait welcomed the announcement of a two-week truce between the US and Iran, declared by US President Donald Trump and Iranian authorities. The truce also extends to Israel.
Following Wednesday’s attacks, Kuwaiti authorities called on Iran and its allied groups to cease hostilities, emphasizing the need to maintain freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Ongoing Conflict in the Middle East
The conflict in the Middle East has been ongoing since February 28th. In response to US-Israeli attacks, the Iranian army has targeted military and civilian objectives in the region and blocked the Strait of Hormuz—a key route for oil transport.
