Flotilla Sets Sail for Gaza
A large flotilla of over 100 ships sailed from Barcelona on August 31, carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. The flotilla is part of an international effort to pressure Israel to allow aid access to the Palestinian enclave, which has been under siege for weeks.
Global Participation
The flotilla, initiated by a coalition of NGOs and activists, includes participants and aid from more than 40 countries. Among the participants were Polish citizens, including politician Franciszek Sterczewski, journalist Patrycja Wieczorkiewicz, and Omar Faris, founder of the Association of Polish-Palestinian Cultural and Social Society.
Large Crowd Gathers in Barcelona
Thousands of people gathered in the Spanish port to bid farewell to the ships, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans like “Free Palestine” and “It’s not war, it’s genocide.”
