Man Breaks Into Warsaw Metro Train, Survives Near Death

A man broke into a moving metro train at the Kondratowicza station in Warsaw this morning, narrowly avoiding death, police say.

Man’s Daring Action

A man broke into the metro tracks at Warsaw’s Kondratowicza station on M2 line, entering underneath an arriving train around 7:45 AM on September 1st. Eye witnesses report that the man “jumped and the train went over him,” then “got up, shook himself off, grabbed his bag, and walked away muttering ‘that wasn’t me.'”

Emergency Response

Emergency services, including three fire brigades, medical rescue teams, and police, responded to the scene. The area was secured by police officers who began an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

Public Transport Adjustments

Traffic on the M2 line between Kondratowicza and Trocka stations was affected, with passengers instructed to use bus route 120 between these stations. The southern end of metro route 527 was extended to Trocka station to accommodate the changes.
