Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government has been urged to act swiftly on a law to freeze electricity prices by the head of the Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski. He noted that there are two projects in place: one from President Bronislaw Komorowski and one from the Law and Justice party itself, both aiming to curb rising energy costs.

Kaczynski stressed the importance of the issue from the perspective of protecting citizens’ living standards and the country’s economic well-being. He criticized the government for not taking immediate action, saying that “it does not look as pretty as the prime minister recently presented.”
President’s Veto on Controversial Wind Turbine Law
President Karol Nawrocki recently vetoed the so-called wind turbine law, describing it as a form of blackmail by the parliamentary majority and government towards society. He argued that the law actually dealt with wind turbines and not energy price reduction, calling for a shift away from the Green Agenda.
