Two Fatal Accidents Investigated
Over the past weekend, two traffic accidents in Żyrardów County resulted in two deaths. Both incidents are currently under investigation by the prosecutor’s office.
Crash Details: Badów Górny
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Badów Górny, Mszczonów municipality, a driver lost control of an Audi while overtaking two vehicles – an Iveco and an Opel – and collided with a roadside tree.
The passenger in the Audi, a 29-year-old resident of Piotrków County, died at the scene. The driver, a 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was found to have a blood alcohol level of nearly 2.5 per mille.
The driver’s license was revoked, and the individual was taken into police custody. Causing a fatal accident while under the influence of alcohol carries a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
Police Appeal
Police are urging all road users to exercise extreme caution, adjust their speed to road conditions, and abstain from driving under the influence of alcohol.
