Warsaw Tram Line Construction: Białobrzeska Opens, Szczęśliwicka Closes

Warsaw tram construction on Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. street will open Białobrzeska on April 18th and close Szczęśliwicka, impacting bus routes.

Tram Line Construction Progresses

Construction of the tram track on Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. street continues. Tram services will open passage on Białobrzeska street on Saturday, April 18th, shifting work to the intersection with Szczęśliwicka.

Finishing work is underway in the tram tunnel under Park Pięciu Sióstr. The first track slabs have been fully poured. In the coming weeks, the tunnel will be connected to the underground station structure at Dworzec Zachodni (Western Station).

Białobrzeska Opens, Szczęśliwicka Closes

Road crews will open Białobrzeska street on both sides of Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. street. The connection to Szczęśliwicka, on the Sokołowskiego “Grzymały” side, will be closed, with traffic diverted via Białobrzeska street.

Changes for Passengers on Ochota

Due to the next phase of construction, bus routes on Ochota will change starting April 18th.

Currently valid routes for other bus lines in the area will remain unchanged.

Project Completion Timeline

The contractor anticipates two lanes of Aleje Jerozolimskie will be passable between the second and third quarters of the year. Work on the tunnel section will conclude in the fourth quarter, and the entire new route from Grójecka to Dworzec Zachodni will open after testing and acceptance procedures by external services.
