When asked if Sławomir Mentzen and Adrian Zandberg are right about Jarosław Kaczyński and Donald Tusk needing to retire, Duda replied, “I think so,” adding that the time for change in Polish politics had arrived and that young voices should be heard.
Jacek Kurski’s Criticism
Former TVP head Jacek Kurski criticized Duda for what he termed “obsessive ageism” against Kaczyński, stating that Duda was not providing a “meritorious argument” for pushing Kaczyński out of politics. Kurski highlighted the necessity of experienced leaders like Kaczyński, who has been instrumental in the ruling party’s success since 1989.

Kurski pointed out that various leaders and presidents, both present and past, were of similar or older age to Kaczyński and questioned if Duda was aware that there was someone even older in politics—referring to Duda’s father, Jan Tadeusz Duda, who was in his late 80s at the time.
