Kielce Fair Stand Spray-Painted Red in Israeli Firm Protest

Two people were arrested after spraying red paint on an Israeli firm’s stall at the Kielce fair on Wednesday.

Arrests Made

At around 12:00 p.m., a 21-year-old woman from Poznan and a 26-year-old man from Warsaw sprayed a red liquid on the stall of Israeli firm Elbit Systems at one of the Kielce fair halls. The Foresight Chemical-Ecological Disaster Response Team accompanied firefighters to the scene.

Protest Against Israeli Companies

The protest follows a similar incident in April 2024, where an Israeli company’s equipment was to be used in an attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy in which a Polish volunteer was killed. Poland’s International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce has attracted criticism for hosting Israeli military firms.

Friday Protests Planned

Organizers emphasize that the “real risk” of supporting companies involved in potential genocide in Palestine is “not only a matter of controversy” but an international legal obligation for Poland to oppose such practices.
