A court ruling has demonstrated that a single person can receive multiple social welfare benefits from MOPS for various needs. In one documented instance, a recipient received six different benefits within a three-month period.
These benefits were designated for specific purposes, including food, medication, medical treatment, rent assistance, clothing, and footwear, proving that support can be provided across multiple dimensions of necessity.
Legal Dispute Over Benefit Valuation
The beneficiary, an unemployed individual with chronic health conditions requiring psychiatric care, took legal action against MOPS to contest the value of a food allowance. While the recipient received 200 PLN, they requested 1000 PLN under a government program.
The Voivodeship Administrative Court in Lublin has since ordered that the application be reconsidered. The dispute centered on whether the provided amount sufficiently addressed the individual’s difficult health and material situation.
