Police Arrest 53-Year-Old Suspected of Orchestrating False Alarms

Warsaw police have detained a 53-year-old man linked to a series of hoax threats targeting emergency services, including a recent incident at the residence of Tomasz Sakiewicz.

Investigation into Hoax Threats

Following the intervention at a property on Wiktorska Street in Warsaw, authorities immediately launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators responsible for sending false alerts regarding immediate threats to human life and health. These messages were intended to trigger emergency service responses.

Cybercrime Unit Involvement

Because the threats were disseminated via email, chats, and instant messengers, the Chief of Police ordered specialists from the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime to assist the Warsaw District and Metropolitan Police. These coordinated efforts led to the arrest of a 53-year-old man late yesterday evening.

Evidence and Legal Proceedings

Officers seized various pieces of IT equipment at the suspect’s residence, which are currently undergoing expert forensic examination. The police are working closely with internet service providers and the Prosecutor’s Office, to whom all case materials have been transferred.
