Authorities in Poland and Germany have successfully rescued a Polish woman held captive in a German apartment, following a tip-off to the Stargard police department that led to a coordinated international operation.
Police Response to Emergency Report
The investigation began Friday night when Stargard police received a report that a Polish woman was being held against her will in a German apartment by a Polish national. The informant provided the victim’s exact location, detailing that she had been forcibly abducted, beaten, and locked inside the residence.
Information also suggested the presence of narcotics and a firearm-like object at the scene. Given the gravity of the situation, the Stargard police escalated the case to the National Police Headquarters’ International Police Cooperation Bureau.
International Cooperation and Arrest
The International Police Cooperation Bureau contacted German authorities, who quickly verified that the woman was indeed being held against her will at the specified address. The suspect was identified as a man wanted by both German and Polish prosecutors.
During the subsequent raid, German police recovered a small quantity of drugs and an imitation firearm. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Victim Safety Confirmed
The victim has received assistance and is reported to be safe and out of danger. Police officials highlighted the incident as a prime example of successful international law enforcement cooperation and rapid response to threats against human life and health.
