New Features in mojeIKP: Color-Coded Prescription Alerts and Medical License Verification

The e-Health Center has introduced color-coded prescription expiration alerts and a professional verification tool within the mojeIKP application, providing over 5 million users with greater control over their health documentation.

Color-Coded Prescription Alerts

The mojeIKP application now features a color-coded alert system designed to warn patients before their prescriptions expire. By clearly indicating the remaining time for medication pickup, the system aims to prevent the frustration of discovering an invalid prescription at the pharmacy counter.

This functionality is particularly beneficial for chronically ill patients who receive prescriptions in advance. The app provides visual cues to manage the validity period, which ranges from 7 to 360 days depending on the type of medication, such as antibiotics or long-term treatments.

Prescription Validity Guidelines

Prescription validity varies significantly: antibiotics remain valid for 7 days, standard e-prescriptions for 30 days, immunological preparations for 120 days, and annual prescriptions for 360 days. Patients should be aware that failing to fill a portion of a long-term prescription within the first 30 days can lead to a reduced quantity of medication being dispensed by the pharmacist.

Medical Professional Verification

To combat the rise of unlicensed online medical advice and fraudulent profiles, the app now includes a “Verify Medical Worker” feature. Patients can input a name or professional license number to confirm if an individual is legally authorized to practice medicine, helping to distinguish legitimate experts from pseudo-medical influencers.

This initiative responds to growing concerns regarding social media figures promoting unverified or potentially harmful health therapies. Verifying credentials before engaging in teleconsultations or purchasing advertised treatments is a crucial step in protecting patient safety and preventing the interruption of necessary medical care.

Application Access and Security

With over 5 million users, mojeIKP has become a primary channel for patient-system interaction. Initial access requires identity confirmation through trusted profiles, electronic banking, or the mObywatel application, while subsequent use is secured via PIN or biometrics. This high level of security allows the application to serve as a comprehensive management tool for the health records of families, seniors, and children.
