A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after being electrocuted and falling 10 meters from a high-voltage power pylon in Żabieniec on Sunday, May 10.
The Incident in Żabieniec
On the evening of Sunday, May 10, a 13-year-old boy was severely injured near the ŁKS Żabieniec stadium on Rybacka Street in the Piaseczno district. After climbing a high-voltage power pylon, the teenager was electrocuted and fell approximately 10 meters to the ground.
Details of the Electrocution
The incident occurred while the boy was in the company of friends. Preliminary findings indicate he climbed the structure, which carried approximately 15,000 volts of electricity. The discharge caused the teenager to fall, and the resulting electric arc ignited the grass in the immediate vicinity of the pylon.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and the victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the event, and the matter has been referred to family court. Initial findings suggest the boy may have climbed the pylon to impress his peers.
