Fire at Abandoned Building in Wawer, Warsaw

A fire broke out in an abandoned building on Krasinskiego St. in Warsaw’s Wawer district, releasing thick smoke visible from a distance. No injuries were reported.

Fire Details

Saturday afternoon saw a fire erupt in the abandoned building on Kresowa St. in Warsaw’s Wawer district, with dense smoke billowing from the structure and visible from afar. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Emergency Response

The incident was reported around 1:30 PM. After the arrival of the first firefighting units, it was confirmed that two staircases in the brick building were engulfed in flames. The firefighters quickly controlled the fire and prevented further spread of the blaze.

Law Enforcement and Investigation

7 firefighting units, the city’s operational group, as well as police and a medical rescue team were on the scene. Authorities secured the area and continue with further investigative activities.

The causes and circumstances of the fire are not yet known.
