A marked police patrol vehicle collided with an Opel Mokka on Saturday evening at the intersection of Solidarity Avenue and Targowa Street in Warsaw, resulting in the driver’s hospitalization.
Collision Details and Emergency Response
The incident occurred on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. at a major intersection in the Praga-Północ district. A Skoda police car from the Traffic Department, operating with lights and sirens while responding to an emergency, entered the intersection on a red signal and struck an Opel Mokka.
The female driver of the Opel was entering the intersection on a green light. Following the collision, she received immediate medical attention from paramedics before being transported to a hospital. The police officers involved were also evaluated by medical personnel.
Traffic Impact and Investigation
Both drivers were confirmed to be sober. Police, fire brigades, and emergency medical teams worked at the scene to secure the area and conduct an investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash.
