The city of Świnoujście has launched a support program offering a one-time 400 PLN payment to eligible seniors to assist with rising living costs, with an application deadline of May 29, 2026.
Financial Support for Seniors
Rising costs of living and daily bills significantly impact household budgets, particularly for pensioners. In response, a local Polish government has introduced a support program providing a one-time payment of 400 PLN to those meeting specific criteria.
Deadline for Applications
There is limited time to complete the necessary formalities. The final deadline for submitting applications is May 29, 2026. Failure to meet this date will result in the loss of eligibility for this year’s payment.
The Islander Senior Bonus
The program is an initiative of the city of Świnoujście, financed entirely by the local budget. This year, the benefit has been indexed, increasing from 350 PLN to 400 PLN to help cover expenses such as medication, food, and utilities.
Eligibility Requirements
Three key criteria must be met to receive the payment. Notably, officials do not require official registration of residence; however, seniors must provide proof and documentation of their actual place of residence.
Payment Disbursement
The application process began in early March and is nearing its conclusion. Seniors must ensure all paperwork is submitted by the May 29, 2026, deadline to receive the funds.
