A new Pollster Institute survey for “Super Express” reveals that a vast majority of Poles favor remaining in the European Union, despite ongoing political friction between Warsaw and Brussels.
Strong Public Support for EU Membership
The latest research conducted by the Pollster Institute shows that an overwhelming majority of Poles want to stay in the European Union. Less than one in five respondents expressed a desire to leave the bloc, confirming that support remains robust regardless of political disputes.
Detailed Survey Findings
According to the survey, 71 percent of respondents believe Poland should remain in the EU. Within this group, 49 percent stated the country “definitely should stay,” while another 22 percent chose the “rather should stay” option.
One-Fifth Support Polexit
The poll recorded that 21 percent of participants support Poland’s exit from the EU. Specifically, 10 percent said the country “definitely should leave,” while 11 percent indicated it “rather should leave.” Eight percent of respondents reported having no clear opinion on the matter.
Political Context of EU Membership
The results confirm that EU membership maintains broad social backing. While the topic of Polexit frequently resurfaces in public debate, particularly amid conflicts between the Polish government and EU institutions, most citizens remain committed to the European community.
Survey Methodology
The research was conducted on May 5–6 on a representative sample of 1,024 adult Poles.
