Nawrocki’s Mixed Ratings and Public Sentiment: Latest CBOS and Pollster Data

The latest CBOS poll shows President Karol Nawrocki maintaining a deeply divided approval rating, while separate data indicates how Poles view parliamentary performance and their preferred political companions for social gatherings.

Presidential Approval Ratings

President Karol Nawrocki’s performance is currently viewed positively by 46 percent of respondents, an increase of 1 percentage point, while 42 percent express disapproval, reflecting a 2 percentage point decrease. Twelve percent of those surveyed remained undecided.

CBOS notes that sentiment remains polarized, mirroring trends from April. The gap between positive and negative evaluations has widened slightly to 4 percentage points. The President reached his highest approval peak in September of the previous year at 54 percent.

Parliamentary Performance

The Sejm’s activity is viewed positively by 33 percent of respondents, a 4 percentage point drop from April, with 49 percent expressing a negative opinion. Eighteen percent had no opinion on the matter.

Assessments of the Senate show 37 percent approval, a decrease of one percentage point, while 38 percent of respondents are dissatisfied. The remaining 25 percent did not provide a definitive opinion.

Survey Methodology

The CBOS study was conducted between May 7 and 17, 2026, using a mixed-mode procedure on a representative sample of 1,041 Polish adults. Data collection utilized CAPI, CATI, and CAWI methods.

Political Preferences for Social Settings

A May poll conducted by Pollster for “Super Express” asked whom citizens would invite to a barbecue. President Karol Nawrocki ranked first with 21 percent, followed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk at 16 percent and Krzysztof Bosak at 6 percent.

Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Adrian Zandberg each received 5 percent, Grzegorz Braun obtained 4 percent, and Jarosław Kaczyński received 1 percent. Notably, 34 percent of respondents stated they would invite none of the listed politicians.
