Police, Tax Authority, and Road Transport Inspectorate Vehicles Collide in Warsaw

Three official government vehicles collided on Żwirki i Wigury Street in Warsaw on Tuesday, May 26, shortly before 5:00 PM, while all drivers were on duty.

The Incident Details

Three service vehicles collided on Tuesday, May 26, before 5:00 PM on Żwirki i Wigury Street in Warsaw. The collision occurred just past the intersection with Racławicka Street, on the lane heading toward the city center.

The incident involved a marked Kia police car and two unmarked vehicles: a Ford and a Skoda. One of the unmarked cars belonged to the Customs and Tax Service, and the other to the Road Transport Inspectorate.

Investigation and Traffic Impact

The collision was minor, but because it involved official vehicles and officers, a specialized Traffic Department accident team was dispatched to document the scene and take photographs.

Following the investigation, an employee of the Customs and Tax Service was identified as the party responsible for the collision. During the emergency response, the left lane of Żwirki i Wigury Street in the direction of the center was blocked, causing localized traffic delays near the Racławicka Street intersection.
