Polish MFA Summonses Russian Charge d’Affaires Over Drone Incursions

Russia’s charge d’affaires Andrey Ordash has been summoned to Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss recent drone incidents over Polish airspace.

Summons and Note Presented

Paweł Wroński, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that the Russian charge d’affaires would be summoned and issued a formal protest note.

Previous Stance on Drone Evidence

Ordash previously told RIA Novosti that Poland had not provided any evidence of the Russian origin of drones shot down over the country’s territory and expressed doubt about Poland’s ability to present evidence.

Premier’s Concerns

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had previously stated that drones intercepted over Poland were “dangerous,” though no definitive evidence of their Russian origin exists. Tusk suggested that Poland had not been supplied with any proof of this connection.
