During his visit to the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask, Prime Minister Tusk met with military commanders and expressed gratitude for their service, stating that yesterday’s incident “should dispel any doubts” about the importance of their work defending Poland’s airspace.

Tusk emphasized that Poland’s defense capabilities are crucial in maintaining the nation’s security and stability. He praised the military’s rapid response to the airspace violation, which involved 19 Russian drones entering Polish airspace between Tuesday and Wednesday.
NATO Article 4 Activated
In response to the intrusion, Poland activated NATO Article 4, which allows for immediate consultations among member states when the territorial integrity, political independence, or security of a member nation is threatened.
