Two People Struck by Car on DK79 Highway

Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on the DK79 highway in Conievo, Poland, causing one to be airlifted to the hospital while the driver allegedly fled the scene.

Initial Accident Description

Two pedestrians, a woman and a man, were struck by a vehicle on the DK79 highway in Conievo, located in the Piaseczyński district. The incident occurred on Thursday, September 11th, around 8:20 PM.

Injury Levels

One of the victims was unconscious following the incident, while the other experienced intermittent loss of consciousness. The more severely injured individual was airlifted by the Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (LPR) emergency helicopter to a hospital, while the other was transported by ambulance.

Victim Language and Preliminary Investigation

The victims appeared to be non-Polish speakers, possibly speaking Ukrainian. Alcohol was detected in their breath, but a sobriety test was not performed at the scene.

Witness Accounts

Witnesses reported that the driver, a woman allegedly, stopped, examined damage to her vehicle, including a right-side mirror, and then proceeded to drive away with a truck following her.
