Tusk & Nawrocki’s Cooperation Smooths Polish Power Struggle

Polish prime minister and president meet to discuss security and NATO, ending a period of strained relations between the two branches of government.

Summit Marks Turning Point in Relations

After 19 airspace violations, cooperation between Poland’s two main power centers has improved. Gazeta.pl’s Donald Tusk shared that he and President Karol Nawrocki have already met in several settings, including the Operational Command Headquarters and the National Security Bureau.

Positive Shift in Diplomacy

The recent dialogue has resulted in consultations under Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Tusk discussed the issue with U.S. President Donald Trump, while Poland’s Prime Minister engaged with key European leaders, including those from France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Netherlands, and Ukraine.

Polish Politicians Question Stability

Despite signs of peace, some politicians doubt whether cooperation between the “small” and “large” palaces will persist. “There will be more conflict as we approach the 2024 presidential elections,” said one opposition member.
