Man Arrested for 3 Months Over Robbery at Bielany Store

A 34-year-old man was arrested for three months after stealing goods worth nearly 400 zł from a Bielany store and physically assaulting a staff member.

Incident Details

The incident occurred at a store on Bielanach where the 34-year-old put chemical and cosmetic articles worth almost 400 zł into a bag and attempted to leave without paying. When a staff member intervened, he pushed her, causing injuries to her forearm.

Investigation and Charges

The Bielany criminal police quickly identified the man and arrested him. He has been charged with robbery, theft of property, and insulting public officials. The suspect has a history of committing thefts, including stealing branded perfumes worth 7400 zł from a store on Kasprowicza Street.

The man has been placed in a police cell and faces up to 10 years in prison for his crimes. As a repeat offender, the court may impose a harsher sentence. The Warsaw Żoliborz District Prosecutor’s Office requested and the court granted a three-month temporary arrest.
